Secondary School Applications
Our secondary school application starts with a comprehensive assessment of every student who wants to study abroad. We interview every student and his/her parents, and then give parents advice on whether their children are suitable for studying abroad. The assessment includes the student’s academic background, English language skills, personality and aptitude, family education background, independence capability, motivation to study abroad, learning initiative, academic skills, and personal habits, etc. When the students arrive in the United States at such a young age, we will do our best to provide them with different types of services in the United States after their landing, from picking them up from the airport, opening bank accounts, setting up phone services, solving the conflicts with the host family, dealing with students’ issues at school, and transferring them to another school if necessary. Our primary goal is to help students adapt to the American academic study and life as soon as possible, but we always remember our higher mission, which is to provide students with the best platform to help them develop their various abilities, including: survival skills, language skills, ability to interact with people, public speaking skills, self-advocacy skills, community service spirits, listening and debating skills, leadership skills, etc. We want our students to excel, have a global perspective, and serve others and the community.
College Applications
Dr. Li Zhang has provided advice and assistance to students who would like to study abroad since 2008. In 2017, Dr. Zhang met her husband, Mr. Phil Barrett, the Town Supervisor of Clifton Park, who supported her career wholeheartedly. Dr. Li Zhang began assisting the University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY) build partnerships with Chinese universities in 2013 when she was still a doctoral student. Over the past few years, Dr. Li Zhang has helped SUNY Albany build partnerships with a dozen universities in China.
